Munchkids is a well established, Ofsted registered, locally run After School Club. 

We cater for children aged rising 5 – 11 years old.  The Club is run by Alison Preston and her team, assisted by Debra Mansaray as Club Administrator. The aims of the club are:

• To provide a safe and secure environment for fun and play.
• A warm welcome with the company and help of reliable, qualified and caring adults.
• A good place for children to be with each other, make new friends, share fun and take part in activities.
• To offer affordable day care for parents who are working or who need activities for their children after the school day.

The club offers a structured but relaxed environment including:

• Outdoor games (weather permitting) – with play equipment.
• Indoor activities – books, dressing up, board games, construction games.
• Various planned Arts and Crafts activities throughout the year, including Easter cards and Christmas decorations

The Club runs on a non-profit making basis, operating entirely through the voluntary work of its parent committee and the employed staff.

In 2007 the club moved into its current location at South Hill Primary School. The summer barbeque is now a regular event where parents, children and staff can enjoy a relaxed evening of food, drinks and fun.

We need you!!

While the staff plan and run the day to day side of things, policies and recruitment are managed by a committee of parent volunteers.  We always welcome new committee members, no previous experience necessary!

Do you have some time to spare?  Have you got a hobby, job or skill that the children would find interesting?  Do you have an hour or so anytime to come and talk or show the children what you do?  If so we would love to hear from you!!  Just speak to a member of staff.
